Does your youngster love the nice outdoor? Nestled in an isolated, idyllic valley by Large Mary's Creek within the Blue Ridge Mountains of Rockbridge County, Nature Camp is founded on the precept that nobody can be expected to avoid wasting the world who does not care about the world, and no one can be expected to care in regards to the natural world who doesn't learn about and perceive it.

Tucked away within the Blue Ridge Mountains of Rockbridge County, Nature Camp is a two-week summer time camp dedicated to experiential environmental schooling. With area groups of 10-12 campers with every adult Naturalist and teenage Junior Naturalist, campers have a greater expertise and form nearer bonds. Junior Campers (Ages 7 to 9): Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we are presently not accepting purposes for the Summer 2020 Nature Camp. Security policies as they relate to COVID-19 would be the same as outlined within the Summer time Nature Camp Update II (beneath), together with the headcount of 10 campers.
As a result of COVID-19, we'll reach ninety% fewer campers in 2020. The preschool and kindergarten periods won't be occurring subject journeys and can spend their week enjoying all that Magnuson Park has to offer. Campers will hold, catch and analyze organisms and we'll play various water video games utilizing water balloons and buckets, make mud pies and explore muddy creeks.
Our nature camp capitalizes on our experience and enthusiasm for instructing kids concerning the outdoor world. In week certainly one of two water-focused weeks, campers will explore ponds, streams, creeks and beaches to study waterways, adaptation, eutrophication and succession.
