What's an achromatic lens?

An achromatic lens or Achromat is a lens that's created for the purpose of restricting the effects of lens(chromatic and spherical) aberration. Achromatic lenses have been adjusted to bring two wavelengths to focus in the same plane.

What is a chromatic aberration?
